Guts: Mindful Yoga & Meditation for Teens

This online yoga and meditation event geared towards teens will be advertised using the Library's website one month in advance. There will be an online sign-up with 30 as the capacity. The Library will contact local yoga studios who might be willing to partner with the library and advertise the free online class. The duration of the program is 1 hour. Participants do not need to be a library card holder or a special log-in in order to participate. The class is free and open to all interested and will be made available via YouTube on the Library's website.

The materials needed for online participation are a yoga mat, or using the carpet or floor is fine as well. Wear something comfortable to move in. It can be your pajamas! Participants should have access to a computer or device with access to the internet and the sound on.
This web-based program will include a short guided meditation and a yoga class for teens.
Cost of the program would entail hiring a certified yoga teacher and providing them with a honorarium unless they are willing to donate their class to the library. The library will budget $50 for the honorarium. Since the class is being held online, participation is unlimited.
